Old Crow Research Facility
Old Crow, Yukon
This 400 square meter research facility was designed by Kobayashi + Zedda Architects and constructed by 360° Design Build.
All of the materials for the building had to be flown in since the community has no road access. The building features a, 55 panel 12.1 KW grid-tied photovoltaic array, the largest PV installation in the Yukon. The PV array allows for substantial environmental benefits since the community is reliant on diesel-powered generators for all of its electrical needs.
